Application for the political academy organized by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)

Are you a young, active person, aged between 18 and 29, with a strong commitment to building meaningful and participatory democracy in Kosovo? Are you willing to invest time and effort in developing and implementing an initiative with other people who think like you? Are you interested in getting support and developing your critical thinking skills, advocacy, team building, writing and negotiating to address your community’s challenges? Then, the Political Academy is what you need!

The political academy is organized by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission in Kosovo, in cooperation with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). Our goal is to ensure that young women and men who are often marginalized by political processes are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure effective participation and lead the consolidation and strengthening of their communities.

The Political Academy curriculum provides:

Improve policy drafting, drafting speeches and presentation skills;
Improvement of knowledge on gender equality and skills for gender mainstreaming;
Ability to think critically and challenge subjective information;
Development of media education;
Possessing communication and advocacy;
Networking with other young leaders and discussing community efforts and challenges;
