Memorandum of Cooperation with Shukos/PRU-K

 University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM) will cooperate with Shukos / PRU-K (Young Water Professionals in Kosovo) in the preparation, organization and implementation of joint activities, which will contribute to building capacities for water professionals. young water In order to specify the responsibilities and obligations between the parties, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Friday by the rector of UIBM, prof.dr. Alush Musaj, the executive director of Shuko, Abdullah Dërguti and the chairman of PRU-K, Albert Salltakaj.

Shukos is the Association of Water and Sewerage in Kosovo and is registered as a non-profit organization of its members and founders – Regional Water Companies (SKK), according to Law No. 06 / L-043 of the Republic of Kosovo, and operates according to Law No. 03/L-134. It acts as a link between its members in the development, promotion and protection of the common interests of the water supply and sanitation sector, towards sustainability.

The purpose of PRU-K is to provide information and activities aimed at improving the creation of various networks among young professionals in the water sector, as well as enabling career opportunities for future generations, thereby increasing the value of their contribution to the overall sustainability of the sector.

Within the Memorandum of Cooperation, it is envisaged that UIBM will appoint a contact person to engage in communication with Shukos/PRU-K regarding the preparation, organization and implementation of joint activities as described in this memorandum. It will also support the implementation of each party’s education, awareness and public relations activities as part of their stakeholder engagement and networking initiatives.

Meanwhile, PRU-K takes responsibility to engage students who are interested in contributing to the PRU-K organization, through trainings, workshops, seminars, national and international conferences, etc. The Parties shall use their best efforts to keep each other informed and advised of matters of mutual interest which, in their opinion, are likely to lead to mutual cooperation.
