Burim Istrefi, has fulfilled the legacy of his former professor, now deceased, prof.dr. Shyqiri Kelmendi, to donate 10 copies of his latest book to “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM), where he had worked for a long time. Istrefi has delivered to the University Library 10 books by Professor Kelmendi, “Flotation of Pb and Zn ores”.

The former student also keeps a message from Professor Kelmendi on his cell phone, who asked him to deliver 10 books to the University Library. He had told her about his poor health and the impossibility of being part of a book delivery ceremony.

Professor Kelmendi died on 20.07.2022. In addition to the leadership positions in the “Trepça” combine, in “Ferronikel” as well as in local and central institutions, he has made an extraordinary contribution as a teacher in the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy. Prof. dr. Shyqiri Kelmendi left behind a prosperous scientific activity, as author and co-author of many university texts, over 30 published scientific and professional works and about 20 different projects.
