Cooperation agreement with the University “Eqrem Çabej” of Gjirokastra

UIBM will cooperate with Eqrem Çabej University of Gjirokastra (UGJ) in order to strengthen and expand reciprocal exchanges in research projects, academic staff and students. For this purpose on Friday at UIBM, the rector, prof.dr. Alush Musaj and his counterpart from UGJ, prof.dr. Bektash Mema, signs a Cooperation Agreement on behalf of these two universities.

Both sides expressed commitment that they will make every effort to strengthen direct contacts and research cooperation between members of their respective departments and faculties. In this context, universities will work together to strengthen and expand their relations, related to mutual exchanges and cooperation in research projects in their respective fields.

The agreement also specifies the areas of cooperation, where among other things the exchange of visits of members of the didactic and research staff is foreseen, which aim at promoting seminars, courses, conferences, preparation of research projects within various programs and exchange of experiences in areas of common interest. Also, the agreement emphasizes the circulation of publications, academic materials and information for certain fields of study and research included in the agreement and that have a common interest, then mutual exchange of professors and researchers and technicians for the development of didactic-scientific activities of integrated.

Another important point is the exchange of postgraduate students and research staff between the two universities in order to attend seminars, execute laboratory exercises and generally in conducting research with the prospect of conducting dissertations according to the planning of both universities. It is also intended to jointly operate study, graduation, teaching courses, master, doctorate of the first or second level with the possibility of issuing joint titles.

Rectors Musaj and Mema expressed their satisfaction with this Cooperation Agreement between UIBM and UGJ and pledged to provide full support for its implementation. Otherwise, within the delegation from Albania, there was also prof.dr. Ilirjan Malollari, from the University of Natural Sciences in Tirana, who also gave a lecture to students and teachers at the Faculty of Food Technology.
