On 15 and 16 April 2021 was held “Workshop on Framework Development for University Research Plans”, as part of the project “Enhancement of the Research Culture in Higher Education in Kosovo (ResearchCult)”, an Erasmus + project funded by the European Union in which UIBM is a partner.

Partner institutions of higher education from Kosovo and Europe with more than 45 participants discussed the Development of University Research Plans to be drafted in each local partner university in Kosovo based on the best practices and experiences of partner EU universities of the ResearchCult project.

The workshop provided important information on research plans and strategies of European and local partner universities. Sapienza University of Rome, University of Zagreb, University of National and World Economics from Bulgaria offered their practices and experiences while research plans were also presented by local universities: University of Prishtina and University Haxhi Zeka in Peja that were essential for the guidance of HEIs in Kosovo to develop their research plans

The participants agreed on future activities related to the development of research plans and the establishment and functioning of Research Offices and on an ongoing collaboration and exchange of experiences in achieving a successful project outcome. UIBM has selected the coordinator for scientific research and is in the process of the Research Office establishment. The UIBM University Research Plan has been designed based on best practices from European and local partners within the ReseachCULT project and is near finalization.
