University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica has signed a cooperation agreement with Salem State University, from Salem, Massachusetts, USA. On behalf of UIBM, the agreement was signed by UIBM rector Prof.Dr. Alush Musaj, while, representative from Salem State University was Prof.Dr. John McArdle.

The two universities agreed that through this agreement they will cooperate, but not to be limited to, the following activities:

1. exchanging information and experience regarding educational exchange programmes and making co-operative efforts to promote them;
2. short and long-term exchange of faculty members and non-academic staff;
3. student exchange (undergraduate and graduate);

Salem State University is a public university in Salem, Massachusetts. Established in 1854, it is the oldest and largest institute of higher education on the North Shore and is part of the state university system in Massachusetts.

Both sides agreed on genuine cooperation with the aim of increasing cooperation in the various fields that are in the interest of the development of the respective institutions.
