A delegation from AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow, Poland (Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection), led by prof. assoc. dr. Jaroslav Prsek, visited the Faculty of Geosciences (FGJ) at the “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM). The visit was carried out in the framework of the cooperation of these two faculties from “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica and the University of Krakow.

The delegation was received at the meeting by the dean of FGJ, prof. dr. Naser Peci accompanied by prof. dr. Gani Maliqi, where the possibilities of advancing cooperation were discussed, with special emphasis on joint projects as well as the possibility of staff and student mobility. Colleagues from Poland also delivered to FGJ some samples from Polish sites that students and staff can use to get to know the sites better.

The delegation from Poland, which included 5 master’s level students of the Economic Geology Program, is conducting study visits to certain geological sites and areas of Kosovo.
